Emergency Phrases
The imperative (commands)
For urgent situations, use the imperative (gebiedende wijs):
- Bel 112! (Call 112!)
- Ga naar het ziekenhuis! (Go to the hospital!)
- Stop! (Stop!)
- Pas op! (Watch out!)
The imperative = the verb stem (ik-form without "ik").
"Ik heb ... nodig" (I need ...)
- Ik heb hulp nodig. (I need help.)
- Ik heb een dokter nodig. (I need a doctor.)
- Ik heb water nodig. (I need water.)
Tip: "Nodig" goes at the end: ik heb + noun + nodig.

常见错误
Roep een ambulance!Bel een ambulance!Use "bellen" (to call/phone) for emergency services, not "roepen" (to shout).
Ik nodig hulp.Ik heb hulp nodig."Nodig hebben" is the fixed phrase: ik heb ... nodig.
Het is een gevaar.Het is gevaarlijk.Use the adjective "gevaarlijk" (dangerous), not the noun "een gevaar" in this context.
Ga naar de ziekenhuis.Ga naar het ziekenhuis."Ziekenhuis" is a het-word: het ziekenhuis.
