Grammar point: 只要…就… (as long as… then…)
Use 只要 (zhǐ yào) + condition + 就 (jiù) + result to express a sufficient condition: "as long as X, then Y will follow." Essential for giving cybersecurity advice.
- 只要你设置一个强密码，就不容易被黑客攻击。
(zhǐ yào nǐ shè zhì yī gè qiáng mì mǎ, jiù bù róng yì bèi hēi kè gōng jī) As long as you set a strong password, you won't easily be attacked by hackers.
- 只要开启双重验证，账号就更安全了。
(zhǐ yào kāi qǐ shuāng chóng yàn zhèng, zhàng hào jiù gèng ān quán le) As long as you enable two-factor authentication, your account will be more secure.
Contrast with 如果…就…: 如果 introduces a possible condition (if), while 只要 stresses that the condition alone is sufficient (as long as).

常见错误
只要你用强密码，你的账号不会被黑。只要你用强密码，你的账号就不会被黑。In the 只要…就… pattern, 就 is mandatory in the result clause. Omitting 就 breaks the correlative structure.
我的个人信息泄露了给黑客。我的个人信息被黑客泄露了。Use the 被-passive construction when personal information is exposed by a third party. 泄露了给 mixes passive meaning with a directional complement in a way that is ungrammatical.
你应该使用不同密码在每个网站。你应该在每个网站使用不同的密码。Location/scope phrases like 在每个网站 (on every website) must precede the verb phrase in Mandarin, not follow the object.
