Saying how you travel
Use 坐 (zuò) + vehicle:
- 我坐地铁去。— I'll go by subway.
- 我坐公共汽车。— I'm taking the bus.
- 我坐出租车。— I'm taking a taxi.
Asking which line / direction
- 坐几号线？— Which line do I take?
- 在哪里换乘？— Where do I transfer?
- 几站？— How many stops?
Getting on and off
- 下一站到了。— The next stop has arrived.
- 我要下车。— I need to get off.
- 这里可以上车吗？— Can I board here?
Comparing transport
- 地铁比公共汽车快。— The subway is faster than the bus.
- 打车太贵了。— Taking a taxi is too expensive.
- 走路只要五分钟。— Walking only takes five minutes.
