Basic ordering pattern

- 你们有什么招牌菜？— What is your signature dish?
Specifying preferences
- 不要太辣。— Not too spicy.
- 少放盐。— Less salt please.
- 我不吃猪肉。— I don't eat pork.
Measure words for food
- 一碗 (yī wǎn) — one bowl (rice, soup, noodles)
- 一盘 (yī pán) — one plate (stir-fry dishes)
- 一个 (yī gè) — one piece (buns, dumplings)
Example order
- 我要一碗米饭，一盘炒蔬菜，还有一碗汤。
— I want one bowl of rice, one plate of stir-fried vegetables, and one bowl of soup.
表达
- 我要一碗米饭。Order one bowl of steamed rice
- 不要太辣。Ask for the dish not to be too spicy
- 有什么好吃的？Ask what is good to eat here
- 我不吃猪肉。Tell them you do not eat pork
- 再来一碗。Ask for another bowl
- 我们点好了。Tell the waiter you are ready to order

不太辣不要太辣Need 要 to turn it into a request
