Privacy policy

We collect the minimum, buy nothing, resell nothing. If you find a language app that respects your privacy more, let us know.

1. Data we collect

We only collect what's required for the service to work: your email (for auth), your target language, your estimated level, and your progression metrics (XP, streak, time spent per mode).

No advertising data, no third-party trackers, no fingerprinting. We use self-hosted PostHog for product analytics, configured in line with GDPR (no cookie, IP anonymization).

2. Voice data

In Talk mode, your audio is sent encrypted (TLS 1.3) to the Gemini Live API for real-time analysis. Audio is not stored — it's destroyed within 60 seconds. Only aggregated metrics (pronunciation score, duration) are kept to adapt your path.

You can fully disable voice collection in Settings → Privacy. That turns off Talk mode but keeps all other modes.

3. Third-party sharing

Just three subprocessors: Google Cloud (EU-West hosting), Google Gemini (conversational AI — DPA in place), Stripe (payments). That's it.

4. Your rights

Access, rectification, deletion, portability — directly in the app (Profile → Privacy → Export my data / Delete my account). Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
