Narrating a Story in Hindi
Hindi uses connectors to sequence events just like English. These go at the beginning of a clause:
Sequence connectors:
- पहले ... फिर ... उसके बाद ... आख़िरकार
- (First ... then ... after that ... finally)
Example story:
पहले हम बाज़ार गए। फिर हमने खाना खाया। उसके बाद हम घर आए। आख़िरकार हम सो गए।
(First we went to the market. Then we ate. After that we came home. Finally we slept.)
जब...तब (when...then): Used for simultaneous or sequential past events:
जब वह आया, तब मैं सो रहा था।
(When he came, I was sleeping.)
अचानक (suddenly) adds drama:
अचानक बारिश होने लगी। — Suddenly it started raining.
Note the compound verb होने लगी (started happening) — compound verbs are very natural in Hindi storytelling.

Typowe błędy
पहले, फिर, बाद में (at the end)आख़िरकार (at the end)बाद में means later (relative time), not finally. Use आख़िरकार to conclude a story
जब वह आया तो मैं सोयाजब वह आया, तब मैं सो रहा थाUse past continuous (सो रहा था) for the ongoing action, not simple past
अचानक सेअचानकअचानक already means suddenly — adding से is redundant and unnatural
