The Near Future (Futur Proche)
The futur proche expresses what you are going to do. It is formed with aller in the present + infinitive.
Je vais visiter Paris. — I'm going to visit Paris.
Nous allons réserver un hôtel. — We're going to book a hotel.
Tu vas prendre l'avion. — You're going to take the plane.
Planning a Trip
Je vais faire mes bagages ce soir. — I'm going to pack tonight.
On va partir demain matin. — We're leaving tomorrow morning.
