Talking about university and future plans
你的专业是什么？ — What is your major? 我的专业是经济学。 — My major is economics. This is a simple 是 sentence: subject + 的专业 + 是 + field.
打算 — planning to 我打算毕业以后去工作。 — I plan to work after graduating. 毕业以后 = after graduating; 打算 + verb phrase = plan to.
将来 — in the future 将来我想申请研究生。 — In the future I want to apply for graduate school. 将来 typically comes at the start of the sentence as a time expression.
毕业了 — graduated 他已经毕业了。 — He has already graduated. 已经...了 marks a completed change of state.
