単語

B2レベルでは、単に "I think" や "I don't agree" と言うだけでは不十分です。上級英語では、ニュアンスを表現するために洗練された論理的接続詞を使います。

Although / Even though — 主張の前に譲歩を導く : *Although the results were promising, further research is needed.*
Despite / In spite of — 名詞や動名詞を続ける : *Despite being tired, she delivered an excellent presentation.*
Whereas — 直接的な対比を示す : *Whereas some studies support this view, others contradict it.*
Nevertheless / Nonetheless — 事実の後にニュアンスを加える : *The data is incomplete; nevertheless, some conclusions can be drawn.*

Rather — 好みや中程度の度合いを示す : *This approach is rather effective.*
Somewhat — 主張を和らげる : *The results are somewhat disappointing.*
Arguably — 普遍的ではない弁護可能な意見を示す : *This is arguably the most complex issue we face.*

絶対的すぎる主張を避けるために :

~~Despite he was tired, he continued.~~
Despite being tired, he continued.
Despiteの後には名詞または動名詞が続き、主語付きの完全な節は来ません。
~~Although of the rain, we went out.~~
Despite the rain, we went out.
Althoughは完全な節を導きます。Despiteの後には名詞のみ来ます。
~~Whereas I like coffee but she prefers tea.~~
Whereas I like coffee, she prefers tea.
Whereasがすでに対比の接続詞の役割を果たしているので、butは不要です。
~~Nevertheless but the report was excellent.~~
Nevertheless, the report was excellent.
Neverthelessは接続副詞であり、butと組み合わせません。
~~This is arguably the more complex issue.~~
This is arguably the most complex issue.
最上級ではmostを使い、moreは使いません。
~~To some extent, I am agree with you.~~
To some extent, I agree with you.
agreeは動詞であり形容詞ではないため、amは不要です。
