I can see... / It looks... — descrivere la natura
I can see + nome — cosa si osserva
"I can see a deer in the woods." → "Vedo un cervo nel bosco."
"Can you see that bird on the cliff?" → "Vedi quell'uccello sulla scogliera?"
It looks + aggettivo — descrivere l'aspetto
Dopo i verbi di percezione (look, sound, smell, feel) si usa sempre un aggettivo, mai un avverbio.
"It looks peaceful." → "Sembra tranquillo."
"The path looks quite steep." → "Il sentiero sembra piuttosto ripido."
It smells / It sounds / It feels + aggettivo
Per gli altri sensi:
"The woods smell amazing after rain." → "Il bosco profuma in modo incredibile dopo la pioggia."
"The grass feels soft under my feet." → "L'erba è morbida sotto i piedi."
Esprimere ammirazione
"What a stunning view!" → "Che vista mozzafiato!"
