"I have a reservation"
Per presentarti alla reception di un hotel, la frase chiave è:
💬 Esempio: "Hello, I have a reservation under the name Dupont." → "Buongiorno, ho una prenotazione a nome Dupont."
Si dice "under the name..." (letteralmente "sotto il nome di"), non "in the name of" che è troppo formale.
Chiedere informazioni
Per fare domande alla reception, usa queste formule:
"Is there...?" = C'è...?
💬 Esempio: "Is there a restaurant in the hotel?" → "C'è un ristorante nell'hotel?"
"What time is...?" = A che ora è...?
💬 Esempio: "What time is breakfast?" → "A che ora è la colazione?"
"Could I have...?" = Potrei avere...? (molto cortese)
💬 Esempio: "Could I have an extra towel, please?" → "Potrei avere un asciugamano in più, per favore?"
I piani: attenzione al trabocchetto!
In inglese britannico, il ground floor = il piano terra, e il first floor = il primo piano (esattamente come in italiano). Gli americani contano diversamente: per loro il first floor = il piano terra.

- 2° piano → Second floor

At what hour is the breakfast?What time is breakfast?Non si dice "at what hour" (calco dell'italiano "a che ora"). In inglese si dice "What time...?".
